West Melton
Our West Melton airfield, just 6 minutes flying from Christchurch, is reserved for the exclusive use of the Canterbury Aero Club. This provides an area for our members to train in as well as a base to fly our club aircraft from privately.
West Melton has regular flight training and private hire available daily with instructors and aircraft standing by. Our welcoming clubhouse and 6-runway airfield are proudly maintained by our members. West Melton provides an excellent place to hold regular social events where members make new friends and compare flying experiences. Families and friends are also very welcome.

Christchurch
Club members have full access to our professional flight training base at Christchurch International Airport. This base is open Monday to Saturday and offers flying from a busy International airport on a member request basis. At this base we have a simulator complex complete with a A320 simulator, along with access to many other resources at our professional flight training organisation; The International Aviation Academy of New Zealand.
Rangiora
Rangiora (just 12 minutes flying from Christchurch) is a very active airfield that provides our North Canterbury members with an excellent base to fly from and socialise. Regular flight training takes place on Saturday and Sundays, or by demand at other times.
The clubrooms are located halfway along the airfield road and are famous for the open fire, social atmosphere and relaxed environment.
