The first solo flight comprises of the pilot completing a takeoff, flying a circuit pattern and carrying out a safe landing, by him or herself, with no instructor on board.
Your First Solo flight is a life changing experience. Having sole control of an aircraft is an incredible feeling and it is one that any pilot (even international jet pilots) will remember vividly.
The first solo flight is a memory that you will carry with you for the rest of your life.
To fly solo you must:
- Be at least 16 years of age
- Hold a class 2 medical certificate (contact the club for more details)
